Most pet CC needs a pack. Cats and dogs, and the CAS items made for them, come with Cats & Dogs (EP); horse CC needs Horse Ranch (EP). Check the packs line before you download.

Pet CC comes in two kinds. CAS items such as coats, collars and hats are added in Create a Pet. Build/Buy items such as beds, bowls and scratching posts go in the home. Decorative pet items can work in any game, but functional ones usually need the pack that adds that animal.

Some creators also share finished pets as Tray files, which go in the Tray folder like downloaded Sims. For the rest of the home, browse furniture and decor.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Cats & Dogs for pet CC?

For cats, dogs and their CAS items, yes. Some decorative pet items work without it, and the listing names the packs each item needs.

Where do downloaded pets go?

In the Tray folder, like downloaded Sims and lots. They then appear in your Library in the Gallery.

Why can't I see pet CC in CAS?

Pet items only appear in Create a Pet, and only when you own the pack that adds that animal. Check the item is enabled for the pet's age, too.
